Is there an age limit for firearms training?

Most of our firearm training classes require participants to be at least 18 years old. However, youth firearm safety programs and specific range experiences may be available for those as young as 12 with parental consent. For “The BIG BANG Experience,” participants must be 21 or 16+ with a parent or legal guardian.

Is Trouble Defense LLC a gun range?

We are not a traditional walk-in gun range. We provide firearm training experiences and classes at partner ranges like Sharpshooters Range in Lorton, VA, or the NRA Range in Fairfax, VA. Bookings are required.

Do you offer any discounts on firearms training?

Yes, we offer all military, law enforcement, and firefighters 10% off on all packages. Additionally, subscribing to our mailing list may provide access to promotional discounts.

Do you offer court-ordered safety training?

Yes, we are a certified trusted source for court-ordered firearm safety training.

What do I need to bring to a firearm training class?

You should bring a valid government-issued photo ID, your course confirmation, and any requested paperwork. If bringing your own firearm, it must be unloaded and secured in a case. You can bring your own ammunition or purchase it at the range. Safety gear is required, but we can provide it if needed. Please wear range-appropriate clothing (no open-toed shoes or low-cut tops).

Can beginners with no firearm experience take your classes?

Yes! Our classes are beginner-friendly and specifically designed to help those with zero firearm experience feel confident and safe. We provide step-by-step guidance, a welcoming environment, and equipment rentals.

Do I need a background check to attend firearms training?

No, a background check is not required just to attend training. However, background reviews are part of the process if you rent a firearm or apply for a concealed carry permit.
