ABOUT TROUBLE DEFENSE LLC FOUNDER
When learning about Trouble Defense, you’ll find a company built on military experience, public service, and a commitment to responsible firearm ownership. Founder Dee Parker is an 8-year U.S. Army veteran, experienced firearms instructor, and the leader behind the Voted Fairfax Virginia Best Firearm Training Academy.
Mr. Parker served as a 92Y Unit Supply Specialist in the U.S. Army and was selected as an instructor for the Army’s prestigious Best Warrior Competition, where he trained soldiers to improve marksmanship, firearm safety, and mission readiness through structured firearms instruction.
After completing his military service, Mr. Parker dedicated more than 15 years to federal government service at the Pentagon Motor Pool, managing critical logistics operations that supported military personnel and national defense missions. His background in leadership, planning, and accountability continues to shape the professional standards of firearm training in Fairfax VA offered by Trouble Defense.
Becoming a husband and father inspired a new mission. Wanting to help families protect themselves through education—not fear—Mr. Parker founded Trouble Defense LLC, a veteran-owned firearms academy focused on safety, responsibility, legal compliance, and practical self-defense skills. Today, the academy provides professional firearms instruction for beginners, experienced shooters, women, families, businesses, and responsible citizens throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
Under Mr. Parker’s leadership, students train with experienced Virginia Certified Firearm Instructors and NRA Certified Instructors who emphasize safe firearm handling, defensive decision-making, and confidence through quality instruction. Every class is designed to create responsible firearm owners while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Mr. Parker’s commitment to inclusion extends beyond traditional firearms education. He has helped develop specialized training programs for women, seniors, youth, and individuals who are blind or have low vision, making Trouble Defense nationally recognized for adaptive firearms instruction and accessible education.
In addition to leading one of the region’s fastest-growing firearms training academies, Mr. Parker is also an entrepreneur focused on innovation, education, and community impact. Through projects such as Meta Biz Connect and ComCo Theatre, he continues exploring new ways to combine technology, business, and education.
