The instructors were patient, professional, and never made me feel intimidated. They explained Virginia firearm laws in a way that was easy to understand and took plenty of time to make sure everyone was comfortable before going to the range. I’m very late posting this review, but I’ve taken 2 classes with Trouble Defense and I cannot recommend them enough!... read more I took the Beginner Firearms class in January (included a general overview on pistols, a cleaning class, and a 1 hour range time with an instructor). After this I felt comfortable enough to actually purchase a firearm and be confident in my ability to use and maintain it. I ended up taking the CCW class as well in April, and it was just as informative. As a woman, it can feel very intimidating trying to get into firearms, but Sheena and Lacey were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and I’m so grateful to them and Trouble Defense for creating such a safe and inclusive environment to learn. If you’re looking for any kind of firearms training in the DMV, I highly recommend going to Trouble Defense!
