How do I book a training date?
Choose an appointment category in the live calendar, select your class, and then choose an available date and time. Review the appointment details and complete the booking steps. If you prefer a separate page, open the full booking calendar.
Can I take a class if I am a beginner?
Yes. Trouble Defense welcomes first-time students. Beginner and private instruction can help you start at a comfortable pace. If you are unsure which class fits, call 703-835-0692 before booking.
What if I cannot find a date that works?
Try another date or month in the scheduler, or contact our team with your preferred course, location and availability. An unavailable date is not a confirmed appointment; we can help you explore other options.
Are ammunition, equipment and range fees included?
Inclusions vary by appointment. Read the selected class description for firearm use, targets, eye and ear protection, ammunition and range fees. Some fees are paid separately at the range. Contact us before paying if any charge or inclusion is unclear.
Why does a multi-day course show a shorter appointment length?
An appointment may represent one part of a longer program. For multi-day courses, review the complete classroom, virtual and range schedule in the description. Ask our team to confirm all required sessions before booking.
Where will my class take place?
Your selected appointment and confirmation identify the meeting location. Fairfax NRA Range and Sharpshooters in Lorton offer classroom and range training. Remote sessions are identified in the course details. The Trouble Defense office is for meetings and appointments only.
Do I need my own firearm?
Equipment availability depends on the course. Check the booking description and ask us about equipment before your session. Do not assume that firearm use, ammunition or protective equipment is included with every appointment.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
The published training-calendar policy allows rescheduling up to 72 hours before the course begins. Email services@troubledefense.com with your name, course and scheduled date. Review any appointment-specific terms when you book.
What happens if Trouble Defense cancels or reschedules a class?
Registered participants will be contacted by email and/or phone. Under the published calendar policy, you may reschedule or receive a full refund if Trouble Defense cancels or reschedules the course.
Will I receive a certificate?
Upon successful completion, applicable courses provide a digital and/or printed certificate. Ask about your selected course and any specific documentation you need. Completing training does not itself issue a carry permit.
Can a teenager attend?
Youth training is available. Contact our team before registering a minor to confirm the appropriate program, parental consent, supervision and the selected venue’s requirements.
Do you offer women’s, adaptive or private group training?
Yes. Explore women’s instruction, adaptive training, and private sessions for individuals, families and groups. Discuss accessibility needs or group arrangements with the team before booking so your session can be planned appropriately.
