Women’s training is her specialty. People are her purpose.
You deserve an instructor who sees the person—not just the target.
Bring your goals, your questions, and the experience you have today. There is no need to arrive already knowing the terminology or feeling confident on a range.
Women & first-time shooters
Build a foundation with an instructor who understands that encouragement and clear explanations belong alongside serious safety standards.
Children & families
Start a conversation about age-appropriate firearm safety, responsibility, and family learning. Ask about suitable youth options before registering a minor.
Adults at every stage
New to firearms or returning after time away? Outside the women-only programs, Sheena also welcomes men, couples, and adults seeking personal instruction.
Accessible education
Her adaptive teaching work includes blind and low-vision students. Discuss your learning needs so the team can plan appropriate support.

Trouble BABES
Be Aware. Be Elegant.
A monthly shooting session. A place to ask questions. A community to grow with.
Sheena created Trouble BABES to give women a welcoming place to learn and keep practicing together. Meet on the last Sunday of every month for a two-hour shooting session focused on safety, confidence, and community.
Come for the training. Stay connected through the encouragement, shared experiences, and friendships that make the next visit feel familiar.
NRA Range: 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030. Check registration for the upcoming session’s start time and any schedule changes.
What is included with Trouble BABES?
Female-led instruction, supervised range practice, firearm rental, ammunition, a target, eye and ear protection, and range fees are included in the published group package.
Can I come alone or as a complete beginner?
Yes. You do not need to bring a friend, own a firearm, or have shooting experience. First-time and returning women shooters are welcome. Tell us where you are starting so we can help you choose an appropriate session.

Before you book
A few helpful answers.
Can I request Sheena as my instructor?
Yes. Email services@troubledefense.com or call 703-835-0692 and ask for Sheena. A general class booking does not automatically reserve a particular instructor; confirm her availability before completing your booking.
Does Sheena only teach women?
No. Women’s education is a specialty, not the limit of her work. Men, couples, families, and other adult students can inquire about appropriate private or general training. Trouble BABES and designated women-only sessions remain women-focused offerings.
Is she a good fit for a nervous beginner?
Her approach emphasizes clear explanations, questions, and encouragement. Tell us about your experience and concerns when you inquire. A private lesson can be a useful place to begin when you prefer individual attention.
Can Sheena help with children’s firearm safety education?
Sheena’s work includes youth safety education. A parent or guardian should contact the team before booking to discuss the child’s age, readiness, learning goals, and the appropriate format. Participation, supervision, and any range activity must be confirmed for the specific program.
Where will my session take place?
Training locations include Fairfax and Lorton, Virginia. Trouble BABES meets at the NRA Range in Fairfax. Other appointments vary by service and availability; follow the location and arrival instructions in your registration confirmation.
Does a Trouble BABES session replace a concealed-carry course?
Trouble BABES is a separate women’s training experience. For a concealed-carry training goal, review the DMV concealed-carry program or contact the team about the course appropriate to your application. Do not assume a practice session includes certification for a different course.
Your next chapter starts with a conversation.
You do not have to arrive confident.
Just ready to begin.
Request a session with Sheena, find your place in Trouble BABES, or ask which program fits your family. Let’s make your next step a thoughtful one.
Requesting a date starts a conversation; your appointment is confirmed through the booking process.
