BIG BANG Shooting Experience Eligibility Requirements
The BIG BANG Shooting Experience is designed to give eligible first-time shooters, tourists, couples, families, and groups a safe, professionally guided live-fire shooting experience near Washington, DC. Both U.S. residents and international visitors may be eligible to participate.
Eligibility is based on age, identification, legal eligibility to possess firearms and ammunition, immigration or admission status when applicable, and the host shooting range’s current policies.
Every BIG BANG participant must:
- Be legally eligible to possess firearms and ammunition
- Present acceptable government-issued photo identification
- Meet all applicable age and supervision requirements
- Complete the required safety briefing and range waiver
- Follow all instructions from the Trouble Defense instructor and Range Safety Officers
- Arrive sober and free from alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, or other impairing substances
- Wear required eye and ear protection
- Demonstrate safe and responsible behavior throughout the experience
- Receive advance eligibility confirmation when using foreign identification

Important Information for International Visitors
International visitors may be eligible to participate, but a foreign passport alone does not guarantee eligibility to handle or shoot a firearm.
Visitors admitted to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program or another visa-exempt admission may be eligible, provided they are not otherwise legally prohibited and meet all federal, Virginia, and range requirements.
Visitors admitted under a nonimmigrant visa are generally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition unless they qualify for a federal exception. A qualifying exception may include a valid, unexpired hunting license issued by a United States state or another exception recognized under federal law.
International visitors must contact Trouble Defense LLC before booking. Please be prepared to present:
• Valid passport
• Current I-94 admission record
• Visa or ESTA documentation
• Valid United States hunting license or other exception documentation when applicable
• Any additional identification requested by the host range
Final participation is subject to review and approval by Trouble Defense LLC and the host shooting range.
International visitors should not send complete passport, visa, or immigration-document images through an unsecured contact form. Bring the original documents unless instructed otherwise.

No previous shooting experience is required. Beginner instruction and a complete safety orientation are provided before live fire.
Every participant must pay attention, follow all safety commands, and demonstrate that they can handle the firearm responsibly. Participation remains subject to instructor and range approval.
Package inclusions depend on the experience selected.
Packages may include certified instruction, firearm rental, ammunition, eye and ear protection, a complete safety briefing, supervised live-fire time, a custom target, a certificate of completion, and additional souvenirs.

The Tourist Range Package includes a beginner-friendly handgun experience.
The BIG BANG Experience may include an AR-15, .44 Magnum, and additional premium firearms. A Desert Eagle .50 AE may be available as an optional upgrade.
Specific firearms are subject to availability, maintenance, ammunition supply, range restrictions, participant eligibility, and instructor approval.
Age requirements depend on the firearm selected and the host range’s current policies.
Adults age 18 and older may shoot rifles and shotguns. Adults age 21 and older may shoot handguns independently. Adults ages 18 through 20 may shoot handguns when accompanied by a guardian.
Participants under age 18 must remain accompanied and supervised by a parent while on the range. Children under age 10 are not permitted on the range.
Participation by anyone under age 18 must be confirmed with Trouble Defense LLC before booking. Firearm options may be limited based on the participant’s age.
Domestic visitors should bring a valid driver’s license, passport, military identification card, or another acceptable government-issued photo ID.
International visitors must contact Trouble Defense LLC before booking and should be prepared to present their passport, I-94 admission record, visa or ESTA documentation, and any required federal-exception documentation.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Avoid sandals, flip-flops, low-cut shirts, or loose clothing that could catch hot cartridge casings.
Required eye and ear protection will be provided.
Most sessions last approximately 60 minutes. The total time may vary based on the number of participants, package selected, safety briefing, range availability, firearm selection, and optional upgrades.

Photography and video may be permitted when it can be done safely and without interfering with range operations.
Phones and cameras must remain secured while a participant is handling or firing a firearm. Always follow your instructor’s directions. Your instructor may assist with photographs or short videos at an appropriate time during the experience.

Every participant receives a safety briefing and supervised instruction. Participants must follow all firearm-safety rules, instructor commands, and Range Safety Officer directions at all times.
Unsafe, threatening, reckless, or impaired behavior will result in the experience being stopped immediately.

The range is located in Northern Virginia and serves visitors traveling from Washington, DC, Maryland, Fairfax County, Alexandria, Arlington, and surrounding communities.
Travel time varies based on traffic and the visitor’s starting location. Allow additional travel time during weekday rush hours.

Cancellations and rescheduling requests must be received at least 48 hours before the scheduled experience.
Requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment may be subject to rescheduling fees or loss of payment. No-shows are not eligible for a refund.
