Build from there.

Your first lesson is a starting point. Focus on understanding the essentials, asking useful questions, and finding the next step that fits your experience.

If you’re feeling unsure, say so. Your questions help your instructor understand how to support your learning.

Before your first visit

A little clarity.
A calmer start.

01 / CHOOSE

Find your format.

Compare the options, then check appointments. If you’re unsure, ask our team to help you choose.

02 / CONFIRM

Know the details.

Review your meeting location and preparation instructions. Request a particular instructor before completing your booking.

03 / ARRIVE

Bring your questions.

You don’t need to know the terminology already. Follow your confirmation’s arrival instructions and tell your instructor where you’re starting.

04 / It’s okay to ask

Your questions
belong here.

A first class can come with a lot of unknowns. Let’s make the next step easier to understand.

Ask a question
Can I attend if I have never touched a gun?

Yes. These women’s programs welcome first-time students. Tell your instructor you are new so your session can start with the safety expectations and explanations you need.

Do I need to own a gun or buy equipment?

No. Firearm use and the listed training equipment are included in these women’s packages. The private group has a separate range fee. Check your selected package before booking; ask the team before bringing a personal firearm.

What if I feel nervous about my first class?

You can discuss your concerns with the team before booking. Private instruction offers individual attention; a women’s group adds a shared learning experience. Ask questions, tell your instructor when you need clarification, and discuss a pause if you feel uncomfortable.

Can I train with a female firearms instructor?

These women’s programs feature female-led instruction. If you would like Sheena specifically, request her by name and confirm availability before booking. A general appointment does not automatically reserve a particular instructor.

Can I join B.A.B.E. by myself?

Yes. You can come alone; you do not need to bring a friend. B.A.B.E. is a women-only group session that welcomes first-time and returning students. Check the calendar for the next available session.

Where does training take place?

Women’s training takes place at scheduled locations in Fairfax and Lorton, Virginia. B.A.B.E. meets at the NRA Range in Fairfax. Use the exact location and arrival details in your booking confirmation.

Is this the same as concealed-carry training?

These women’s range experiences and the dedicated permit-training courses are separate offerings. If your goal is a concealed-carry course, ask the team which program to choose and explore the concealed-carry options.
