Make personal safety practical

A thoughtful investment
in the people behind your work.

An on-site self-defense workshop for employees creates a shared space to ask questions, explore personal-safety decisions, and practice with guidance. We plan the experience around the people who will actually attend.

01

Understand your options.

Introduce awareness, personal boundaries, and self-protection concepts in everyday language. Give employees a foundation for thinking about their own safety.

02

Learn through participation.

Bring questions into the room. Instructor demonstrations and guided practice give your team a chance to engage with the material and discuss what it means for them.

03

Make it relevant to work.

Tell us about the roles, schedules, and settings your employees navigate. We use that planning conversation to shape the workshop’s focus, pace, and activities.

Turn the page. Explore the possibilities.

YOUR WORKSHOP FIELD GUIDE

Four themes.
One practical beginning.

01 / Awareness

Start with the world around you.

Explore personal-safety awareness in familiar work settings: shared spaces, visitor interactions, and the transitions into and out of the workday. Discuss recognizing when a situation feels unsafe and when to seek support.

Everyday awareness, explained clearly.

Built around the people in the room

Different roles.
A shared focus on safety.

HR teams, managers, and safety coordinators can use a private workshop to bring employees together around practical personal-safety learning. Start with the work setting that sounds most like yours.

A focused addition to your staff training day.

Discuss an on-site session for a department, office, agency, or nonprofit team. We can build the conversation around shared work areas, personal boundaries, and the practical questions employees bring.

Fit the workshop to your workday

Your people. Your schedule.
A plan we build together.

We discuss your objectives, available time, training space, and employee groups before recommending a format. These are starting points for your proposal.

01

A focused team workshop.

Bring one department or employee group together for an introduction to personal safety and guided self-defense learning. Agree on priorities that fit the available time.

02

More time for practice.

Discuss an extended session when your team wants more room for instructor demonstrations, supervised participation, workplace examples, and questions.

03

Training across shifts.

Explore repeat sessions for separate shifts, departments, or employee groups. We review timing, staffing, and logistics as part of the organizational proposal.

Workshop length, participant count, space requirements, instructional staffing, and pricing are confirmed in your proposal. Serving Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC; ask about additional travel.

A little clarity before you plan

Good questions.
Practical answers.

Organizing employee self-defense training starts with the right fit for your people and your workplace.

Can you bring the workshop to our workplace?
Yes. Trouble Defense offers on-site organizational training throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Tell us the proposed location and available training space so we can discuss a suitable setup for the workshop and planned activities.
Do employees need previous self-defense training?
This workshop can be planned as an introduction for everyday employees. Share the group’s experience level during planning so the explanations, pace, demonstrations, and guided activities fit the audience.
How long is an employee self-defense workshop?
The length is agreed around your objectives, available time, headcount, and planned activities. You can discuss a focused session, a longer workshop with additional practice, or repeat sessions for different shifts.
How much does an on-site workshop cost?
We provide a customized proposal. Location, group size, instructional time, instructor staffing, travel, and the agreed scope all affect pricing. Use the inquiry planner or contact Trouble Defense with your initial details.
What should our organization provide?
Start with your organization name, city and state, approximate participant count, preferred timeframe, and goals. Describe the type of space you have available. We review activity space, scheduling, and participant requirements with you before confirming the workshop.
Can we discuss participation or accessibility needs?
Yes. Raise participation needs during the planning conversation so we can discuss the pace, activity choices, and setup. You can ask for a private conversation about individual concerns before committing to a format.
Is this a firearms class or a de-escalation-only workshop?
This page focuses on an employee personal-safety and self-defense workshop, including guided self-protection learning. Awareness and communication can support the session. If your organization needs a dedicated de-escalation, workplace violence prevention, or broader safety program, we can discuss those separately.
